Other times, we need to look to artists who have not given up the fight against oppression, like Pussy Riot founder Nadya Tolokonnikova, whose durational performance in Los Angeles, "Police State," uncannily reflected the violent ICE presence in the city."

Nan Goldin, Noah Davis, Stan Douglas, and Yoko Ono appear among standout artists in 2025 exhibitions.
