Robert Wiesenberger will assume the Barbara and John Vogelstein senior curator of contemporary art position at the Brooklyn Museum on March 2, 2026. He joins from the Clark Art Institute, where he curated contemporary projects, organized milestone exhibitions with emerging and midcareer artists, and produced publications blending scholarly rigor and experimental graphic form. Responsibilities include growing the collection through targeted acquisitions, expanding connections with global and local artists, developing The Brooklyn Artists Exhibition, and proposing thematic and monographic exhibitions that expand the canon. Wiesenberger has taught in the Williams College Graduate Program, served as a critic at the Yale School of Art, and been a curatorial fellow at the Harvard Art Museums.
