"Aventon Current EXP punches closer to the performance of bikes that command a five-figure price tag. Not only is this an incredibly affordable full-power eMTB, but it's also absurdly refined and rides as well as, if not better than, bikes three to four times the price."
"The Current positions the brand in the rapidly expanding eMTB market as a valid choice for a vast majority of riders - both advanced and beginners. It presents a motor with not just good, but great numbers, a competitive weight, and geometry that facilitates confidence and predictability, all at a price that is almost too good to be true."
Aventon, originally rooted in performance cycling since 2016, has transitioned into e-bikes and introduced the Current EXP, a budget-friendly full-suspension eMTB priced at $5,999. Despite its affordable MSRP, the bike delivers exceptional performance rivaling significantly more expensive models. The Current EXP features an Aventon Ultro X motor with 110Nm power (120Nm boost), 800Wh battery, RockShox suspension (150mm front, 140mm rear), SRAM Maven brakes, and SRAM S1000 transmission. Weighing 52 pounds with a carbon front triangle and alloy rear triangle, the bike combines refined engineering, competitive geometry, and accessible pricing. Developed in collaboration with French design lab Kairn, the Current EXP positions Aventon as a valid choice for both advanced and beginner riders in the expanding eMTB market.
