Atherton Bikes announced its first eMTB just yesterday, with presales of the first preproduction run limited to just 50 bikes. In less than 24 hours, all 50 of the first presale batch have already sold out, and no one has even seen " a full body shot yet." In response, a second presale has already begun for another preproduction batch of 50 bikes, ahead of the official launch in April 2026.

The highly anticipated Atherton Bikes S.170E is finally coming, and the brand has just announced a limited number of presale builds that are up for grabs - but you need to act fast to get your hands on the latest Avinox-powered eMTB. The presale is now live at Athertonbikes.com, but the final reveal and full product details will be published when the bike launches in April 2026. Pre-orders are open now for the first 50 bikes, with delivery scheduled for April and May.

Back in 2024, Canyon issued a voluntary recall of some of its eBike batteries. The batteries in question were plastic-housed. These batteries had the risk of catching fire, as the plastic housings could allow water ingress. Yesterday, Canyon released two new eMTBs that come spec'd with new, updated batteries. The Spectral:ON, and the Torque:ON eMTBs are using a "long-lasting" 800Wh battery that is reinforced with an aluminum housing.

The best eMTBs on the market right now are able to churn out up to 1,000 watts of power and around 120 Nm of torque, which is a pretty mind-blowing set of numbers that provides an addictive feeling on the trail. The Amflow PL Pro is sitting at the top of the podium when it comes to usable power and efficiency, thanks to the Avinox drive system and 800Wh battery. And in my opinion, this is pushing it for most riders.

The Scott Voltage eRIDE 920 is proof that yesterday's top tech can still be a killer buy - especially now that clearance pricing is hitting. Built around Scott's Carbon HMF frame and powered by TQ's ultra-compact HPR50 motor with a 360Wh battery, this eMTB barely hints at its electric side. Park it next to the analog Scott Genius and you'll need a sharp eye to spot the difference.

Lightweight or full power? That is the big question for many when shopping for eMTBs. Rocky Mountain Bikes presents a compelling argument for mid-weight mid-power with their Instinct Powerplay SL. Its Dyname S4 Lite motor provides ample boost power to ride any trail, and its 480Wh battery offers enough range to last longer than a lot of riders' legs and lungs!

The suspension design is something new for Antidote, and this could be what they are referencing when they say that "It will be so much more than just another e-bike," but this is still hard to believe unless there are some hidden details that they have yet to disclose. The closest similar suspension design is an amalgamation of the Antidote Darkmatter downhill bike and Carbonjack enduro bike, but it still has some notable differences from the two.

The S-Works Levo 4 LTD is certainly something special, and it's not often that a brand as prominent as Specialized specs a bike with such exotic components - parts that are usually reserved for custom-built, dream-bikes. This off-the-shelf Levo 4 LTD comes with a Fox Podium fork, Fox Float X GENIE shock, SRAM XX Transmission, Industry Nine A35 stem with RaceFace Era carbon bars, a Fox NEO wireless dropper post, and Roval Traverse Carbon HD rims laced to Industry Nine Hydra hubs.

This entry-level eMTB is aimed at newer to intermediate riders, with one frame size designed to fit shorter to average heights and modern XC/Trail geometry for a confident ride.
