Deaths of 3 people in Watertown being investigated as murder-suicide, DA says
"They were very simple people, very pious people. Occasionally, we saw them here in the community and - peace-loving family. Harmless, and didn't deserve this tragedy,"
"We are going to have a funeral for three individuals at the same time probably because they were all together. Living together as one family."
A 31-year-old man allegedly shot and killed Nadia Abrahamian, 80, and Karine Asatryan, 35, inside their Boyd Street home in Watertown and then died from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. Authorities are treating the incident as an apparent murder-suicide and say the event was isolated with no ongoing threat to the public. Abrahamian lived on the upper floor while Minasvand and Asatryan lived together on the lower floor; the three were known to each other. Minasvand and Asatryan had a one-year-old child and helped care for Nadia and her late husband. The family was active in the local Armenian church and a joint funeral is expected.
