Someone allegedly struck her ex's new girlfriend with a car in Newton. Now both women are facing charges.
"According to a police report filed in court, Pimentel-Lugo said she was leaving her boyfriend's house that night when she saw Sanchez's car parked nearby on Lagrange Street. She got out to confront Sanchez, and the two women allegedly began fighting in the street, with Sanchez landing some punches and Pimentel-Lugo retrieving a baseball bat to hit Sanchez with it."
"A neighbor recorded some of the incident, and the footage purportedly showed Pimentel-Lugo standing on the side of the road following the alleged altercation before Sanchez's car "surges forward" to strike her."
"When officers arrived at the scene, Pimentel-Lugo appeared to have blood on her face and hands, and Sanchez's face was also bloody. Pimentel-Lugo was taken to Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center with cuts on her face and hands and pain in her hands, legs, and feet."
Rosa Sanchez, 37, of Mattapan, allegedly hit 22-year-old Esneiry Pimentel-Lugo with her car on Lagrange Street in Newton shortly after midnight on February 15. The incident followed a physical altercation between the two women. Pimentel-Lugo reported confronting Sanchez after seeing her parked near her boyfriend's house, leading to a fight where Sanchez punched her and Pimentel-Lugo used a baseball bat. Sanchez's account differed, claiming Pimentel-Lugo chased her and attacked her car with the bat. Neighbor video footage showed Sanchez's car surging forward to strike Pimentel-Lugo. Both women sustained injuries and were hospitalized before arrest.
