Red Sox 3, White Sox 1: Pigs Gotta Eat
Briefly

Garrett Crochet delivered an outstanding performance on the mound, retiring the first 15 batters and striking out 11 in 7.1 innings, showcasing his dominance. Despite this impressive outing, the Red Sox's offense was lacking, although Trevor Story provided a much-needed boost with a standout game, including three RBIs. As the team prepares to face Tampa, excitement remains for Story's potential impact, indicating a glimmer of hope for the remainder of the season, even as they reflect on the recent series with the White Sox.
The box score doesn't even begin to underline how incredible Crochet's outing was. That was one of the most refreshing things to see, a pig just eating innings and mowing down batters.
Trevor Story... driving in genuinely the entirety of the runs this afternoon, what a massive spark Story was.
For how great Crochet's outing was, the offense needed some juice and Story's homer being the first on the team since Sunday is a big one.
No sweep at the hands of the White Sox feels like a weird consolation for the expectations before the series but I guess we'll take it in hindsight.
