Multiple robberies and assaults have taken place in Brooklyn. A young woman was robbed and attacked in Brooklyn Heights, where a man took her phone and fled. Another victim in Dumbo was injured in an attempted robbery by two men, one of whom used a weapon. A couple was also attacked on Fulton Street during a seemingly innocent conversation, leading to theft of their belongings. In each case, law enforcement responded and made arrests while treating injured parties.
A man was arrested on July 15 for allegedly robbing and attacking a young woman in Brooklyn Heights. The victim was walking near the corner of Pierrepont Street and Monroe place when a man suddenly slammed into her.
The woman took her phone out to record, and the man grabbed it out of her hand and threatened her, then threw the phone into the bushes, spat on her, and fled toward Clark Street.
A man was injured when a pair of perps attacked and attempted to rob him on Water Street. The victim was standing near the corner of Jay Street when two men approached and began physically attacking him.
Two people were attacked and robbed on Fulton Street. The victims, a young man and woman, were hanging out when a man engaged them in conversation, which turned violent and ended in theft.
