
"BROOKLYN, N.Y. - A 46-year-old man was shot and killed Wednesday morning in Brownsville, marking a deadly start to Christmas Eve in Brooklyn, police said. Officers responded to a 911 call around 9:48 a.m. reporting a shooting in front of 182 Belmont Avenue, within the 73rd Precinct. When they arrived, they found Marcin Iwanowicz, of 1013 Avenue J, unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest."

EMS rushed Iwanowicz to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.
