The Ordinary launched free bus rides on Tuesday between Domino Park on the Williamsburg waterfront and Prospect Park, but suspended the service days later. The company said it was working to get the bus running again soon. The reason for the stop was unclear because representatives did not respond to a comment request. The rides were intended to run for two weeks through June 9 with hourly service from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on weekends and noon to 7 p.m. on weekdays, targeting 1,000 daily riders. City officials said they were guiding the company through permitting, including applying for a New York City Bus Stop Permit, while Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s administration emphasized commitment to fast, free, accessible transit.
