Law enforcement in Sonoma County arrested 30-year-old Saul Villalobos-Delacruz on suspicion of animal abuse and bird fighting charges following a search warrant executed at a farm on Stony Point Road. Officers from multiple agencies, including the Sheriff's Rural Crimes Task Force, Animal Services, and code enforcement, discovered 833 roosters at the location. Investigators recovered evidence consistent with cockfighting, including slashers, timers, identification bands, betting slips, small denomination currency, and veterinary medications. Villalobos-Delacruz was booked into county jail and subsequently released on supervision pending trial. Animal control personnel seized all roosters from the property.
