A Bland 2000s Condo's Redo Feels Like a Sultry Parisian Speakeasy Now
Briefly

Eric Drozd, owner of Drozd Design, transformed a typical 2006 condo in Park Ridge into a personalized industrial loft by gutting and renovating the space. Attracted by architectural features like high ceilings and exposed ducts, he sought to escape the blandness of builder-grade finishes. His renovations included new flooring, kitchen and bathroom upgrades, and an extensive lighting installation. Passionate about travel, he incorporated vintage finds from around the world, creating a unique lived-in aesthetic that blends industrial and contemporary styles.
For me, this space is perfect, and ideally located to walk to my gym, local bars and groceries, etc. I wanted to inject my own character into the space.
I love to travel and collect things when I do. From vintage sconces sourced at the Paris flea market to art found on the Costa Brava in Spain, I've been gathering items to display in my home.
