Bucks Are Getting More Serious About Trading Antetokounmpo
"Could Giannis Antetokounmpo land on the Chicago Bulls this season, after all? A new Wednesday report from Shams Charania of ESPN suggests that, while the two-time MVP hasn't outright demanded a trade, the 10-time All-Star Milwaukee Bucks power forward is "ready for a new home" as soon as this season's Feb. 5 trade deadline. Sources inform Charania that the Bucks are finally amenable to moving off Antetokounmpo. The injured 31-year-old big man finds himself trapped in an absolutely hopeless situation."
"Despite being in an Eastern Conference so winnable that the 23-23 Bulls could be an actual playoff team, the Bucks are just 18-27 on the season, and now occupy the No. 12 seed in the conference. Antetokounmpo will be sidelined for at least the next four-to-six weeks with a right calf strain - and possibly longer, per The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel's Jim Owczarski."
Giannis Antetokounmpo is reportedly ready for a new team and the Bucks appear amenable to trading him before the Feb. 5 deadline. Milwaukee sits 18-27 and occupies the No. 12 seed in the Eastern Conference while Antetokounmpo faces at least four-to-six weeks out with a right calf strain. The Chicago Bulls are 23-23 and could be playoff-caliber, and they hold five tradeable first-round picks. Young Bulls Josh Giddey and Matas Buzelis offer All-Star upside and team control. A package centered on Giddey, Buzelis, multiple firsts and Zach Collins' expiring contract could interest Milwaukee.
