A slice of Paris on Piedmont Avenue
Briefly

A slice of Paris on Piedmont Avenue
"I wanted to do something chic, a little fancy, but that's also for everybody,"
"Like in Paris, you have very pretty wine bars, and you can come for a drink and appreciate the atmosphere."
"La Loulou,"
"you look good"
La Loulou is a Paris-born aesthetic wine bar on Piedmont Avenue with vibrant pink and yellow walls, feather chandeliers, French-style patio furniture, and a disco-ball–covered bathroom with a neon “you look good” sign. Owner Lou Beraud moved from Paris to the Bay Area in 2020 after working for wine importers and drew inspiration from Art Nouveau wine bars. The name came from a family nickname suggested during a walk in Paris. The bar opened in May in a former real estate office after a year of permits and paperwork, and neighborhood reception exceeded expectations.
