Zorek, a new cafe by the brothers behind Mazra, has now (re)opened
Briefly

Zorek, a new coffee and borek shop in San Bruno by brothers Jordan and Saif Makableh, launched briefly before a three-week closure for enhancing its coffee program. Reopening on April 22, the café includes a craft beverage menu featuring unique drinks such as pistachio lattes and Moroccan tea mint julep. Specializing in borek, a Turkish pastry with a variety of fillings, the shop frequently sells out by noon. Currently operating as a grab-and-go establishment without seating due to zoning restrictions, the owners aim to change this for a better customer experience.
Zorek, the highly anticipated San Bruno coffee and borek shop launched by the brothers behind Mazra, Jordan and Saif Makableh, opened just briefly earlier this month before shutting down for three weeks to refine its coffee program.
The small shop is currently a grab-and-go setup, and doesn't have seating. That's because it's not currently permitted in the city zoning but the brothers are working to change that, according to Makableh.
