Jacob Winterton, a former Ontario Hockey League player, died at 25 after a battle with Stage 4 bone cancer. Initially diagnosed after experiencing shoulder pain, the cancer spread to his lungs. His brother, NHL player Ryan Winterton, expressed deep sorrow on Instagram, highlighting Jacob's influence on his life. The hockey community, including the Seattle Kraken, offered condolences and support to the Winterton family. Jacob played for the Flint Firebirds and Oshawa Generals, and the Ontario Hockey League remembered him as someone taken too soon.
