Dodgers' Max Muncy Thought His Season Was Over After Scary Knee Injury
Briefly

Max Muncy feared the worst after a collision with Michael A. Taylor, believing his season might end. Fortunately, MRI results showed no structural damage, only a bone bruise that required six weeks of recovery. Muncy beat expectations by returning almost a week and a half early, expressing gratitude for his ability to play again. Upon returning, he had a standout game, significantly contributing to the Dodgers' offense, which had missed him during his absence.
"As I was laying there on the ground that night, I thought for sure, 'This is it,' Muncy said. At that time, obviously, you have a million things that start going through your mind (and) they're all the worst."
"Just trying to be thankful and blessed to be able to get back on the baseball field this year," Muncy said. "I'm going to try to enjoy every second of it, knowing how close it was to not being there for me."
