Fernando Ramirez was ejected from the Vermont Hollywood nightclub and later returned, driving into a crowd of people, injuring at least 36 individuals. Bystanders reacted by pulling Ramirez from the vehicle, after which he was shot in the lower back by Efrain Villalobos, who then fled the scene. Villalobos was arrested more than two weeks later on an attempted murder charge. Police stated that injuries included serious fractures and lacerations, while Ramirez faces life imprisonment if convicted.
