Braves claim catcher Chuckie Robinson, per report
"The Atlanta Braves have reportedly claimed catcher Chuckie Robinson off waivers from the Los Angeles Dodgers, per The Athletic's David O'Brien. He has been optioned to Triple-A Gwinnett. To make room on the 40-man roster, pitcher Daysbel Hernandez was moved to the 60-day IL. Robinson, 30, made his MLB debut with the Cincinnati Reds in 2022 and has also seen action with the Chicago White Sox and Dodgers."
"In 52 career games, he has a -4 wRC+, so offensive is not his calling card. He has performed better in the minors, but his numbers are middling at best. Robinson does have options remaining, so he give the Braves a plausible option as deep reserve for the organization next season. He was a 21st round draft choice by the Houston Astros in 2016. Hernandez was placed on the 15-day IL on September 12."
