Former Red Sox slugger Justin Turner was acquired by the Mariners for Double-A outfielder RJ Schreck, as reported by Sportsnet's Shi Davidi.
Turner, the 39-year-old veteran, has a .257/.351/.373 batting line with 6 home runs and 31 RBIs this season, showing a valuable ability to get on base.
Despite mostly being a DH and first baseman, Turner has experience at second and third base. He signed with the Blue Jays for $13 million in 2023.
