Marlins reinstated right-hander Edward Cabrera from the 15-day injured list and outfielder Griffin Conine from the 60-day injured list. The team optioned right-hander Adam Mazur and outfielder Joey Wiemer to Triple-A Jacksonville to open active roster spots. To create a 40-man roster spot for Conine, outfielder Derek Hill was returned from a rehab assignment, reinstated from the 10-day injured list, and designated for assignment. Cabrera adds right-handed pitching depth while Conine returns as an outfield/bench option; Mazur and Wiemer will continue development in Jacksonville. Additional roster updates are expected.
