It was only in August that Polish authorities found debris of what appears to be a Russian drone that had crashed into a field. Poland's armed forces shot down Russian drones after they violated national airspace during an attack on Ukraine overnight into Wednesday. Videos and images purporting to show the incident circulated online alongside propaganda and disinformation from Russian state outlets and pro-Kremlin bloggers. Prime Minister Donald Tusk warned that Russian propaganda targets Polish security, while the Russian Foreign Ministry accused Poland of spreading myths to aggravate the Ukrainian crisis. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen identified the intruding drones as Iranian-designed Shahed drones that Russia commonly uses against Ukraine. Polish authorities previously recovered suspected Russian drone debris in August. Multiple online clips are being examined for authenticity.
