Heavyweight fighter Jhonata Diniz achieved a notable victory over Alvin Hines, but the spotlight was on his daring participation in a high-altitude MMA bout conducted in a hot air balloon. This extraordinary event took place in Boituva, Brazil, and featured Diniz, a passionate skydiver, who welcomed the challenge of combining two thrilling sports. Despite the fight being relatively light-hearted, Diniz expressed aspirations for more intense future endeavors. As 2025 approaches, he aims to engage in more fights, showing a readiness to take on any opponent and maintain an active career in MMA.
"I just did that because I'm a skydiver for more than five years. I love some adrenaline in my life," Diniz recalled during the UFC 317 post-fight press conference.
"I can celebrate two of the biggest things that I love in my life, fighting and skydiving, jumping. I love that we did that," Diniz added.
Diniz is now hoping to stay busy in 2025. "I think in just one week, I'll be ready enough to fight again," he exclaimed.
"I just want to make a minimum one [more] fight in this year yet. I'm ready to fight against everybody, I don't care about who or when."
