"Following acclaimed releases on Kompakt, Permanent Vacation and Bedrock, Luz marks a new chapter for Captain Mustache. Inspired by his love of the album format, he uses this long plane format to break away from the constraints of club functionality and embrace a freer creative spirit. As such, the record embraces retro-future electro, EBM, techno, wave and rap on a hugely textured album that's just as at home on the dancefloor as it is in headphones."
"Luz means 'light' in Portuguese which reflects how this album explores both the light of day and the shadows of night. The 11-track record includes standout collaborations with friends and kindred spirits: Play Paul, Daft Punk's Guy-Manuel's brother reappears after their hit 'Everything' on Kompakt on opener 'The Pathetic. It's a sleek, futuristic electro-techno sound with sultry indie vocals. Mel. E. Logan of Chicks on Speed returns on the moody 'Pen Weapon'"
