"The NYPD released images Wednesday morning of the perpetrator behind the heinous attack, which occurred near West End Avenue and West 107th Street at about 10:35 p.m. on Dec. 21. Police reported that the suspect approached the victim, a 24-year-old man, and repeatedly struck him multiple times in the face with the baseball bat. The motive for the assault was not disclosed."

He was last seen wearing all black clothing, including a black bubble jacket, and carrying a black baseball bat. At about 10:35 p.m. on Dec. 21 near West End Avenue and West 107th Street, a suspect approached a 24-year-old man and repeatedly struck him in the face with a baseball bat. The assailant fled on foot westbound on West 107th Street toward Riverside Park after the attack. Emergency services transported the victim to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital with multiple facial injuries; he was listed in stable condition. Police described the suspect as a slim, light-complexioned man about 5 feet 8 inches tall, wearing all black, including a black bubble jacket, and carrying a black baseball bat.
