An hour and a half before the meteoroid hit the Earth, NASA had issued a warning that anticipated when, how, and where exactly the impact was going to occur.
Three hours before impact, meteoroid 2024 BX1 was completely unknown to science. The Hungarian astronomer Krisztian Sarneczky was the first person to observe it.
