The Wild Punk Revelry of Project Pabst Day 1!
Briefly

The Project Pabst festival successfully returned, filled with high energy performances and a nostalgic atmosphere. Nasalrod lead the opening with powerful energy, while Gouge Away showcased their noise-punk sound. Gustaf added a unique twist with quirky instrument choices. The Exploding Hearts reunion drew an engaged crowd reminiscent of Portland's punk history. Various local musicians attended, contributing to the festival's excitement. Despite FIDLAR stepping in for The Damned last minute, they delivered an energetic performance fitting for the occasion, embodying the festival's lively spirit.
The return of the hotly anticipated Portland music festival Project Pabst was worth the wait, paying emotional dividends with every set from Nasalroad's massive opener energy all the way to Iggy's closing words, 'Fuckin' goodnight! Fuck everybody!'
The Chairman, lead kook of Portland favorites Nasalrod, came out the gate swinging-or should we say kicking? Gouge Away tore it the fuck up with their flavor of noise-punk hardcore crossover.
Gustaf had pitched down femme vocals, played rubber chickens as instruments, and found a legendary piece of duct tape that simply said 'Iggy.' The spirit of revelry was palpable with the crowd.
The first set of the day really feeling packed was the Exploding Hearts reunion. Old heads were out in force, donning Dead Moon tees, sporting Wipers buttons, reminding us how deep Portland's punk history goes.
