Ingram Micro is gradually restoring customer ordering after a ransomware attack. Although the company claims to have contained the threat, customers are facing lengthy support queues and inadequate communication. Many were unaware of where to find updates during the crisis. As of now, subscription orders are being accepted globally, but hardware orders remain limited. The attack was attributed to the SafePay ransomware group, known for significant activity in May 2025, and they imposed a tight ransom deadline for Ingram Micro.
"The lack of communication is poor. I get they might not want to reveal all, but some communication and reassurance would be appreciated."
"Ingram Micro confirmed Tuesday that it believes the unauthorized access has been contained. The company has implemented additional safeguards and monitoring measures as it brings systems back online."
