Local performer comes back to '5 and Dime' for TheatreWorks debut
Briefly

Judith Miller's return to the stage in TheatreWorks' world premiere musical "Come Back to the 5 & Dime, Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean" marks a significant moment in her long career. Having previously performed in the play twice, Miller's role now holds personal meaning as a breast cancer survivor and mother of a transgender child. Directed by Giovanna Sardelli, the show follows an all-female fan club reminiscing on James Dean's legacy, providing insights into their lives. Miller, whose day job previously limited her opportunities, is thrilled to perform with TheatreWorks after her retirement, embracing the wisdom that comes with age and experience.
There's a lot of depth to this play for me and the things these people are experiencing. I grew up in Oklahoma, so I understand that sort of regional mentality.
Miller is making her TheatreWorks debut in a show adapted from a play she's done twice before, the first time nearly 40 years ago.
