A tragic solo vehicle collision on Highway 130 near Saw Tooth Canyon resulted in the death of one individual Monday night. According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident, reported at about 8:55 p.m., involved a sedan traveling westbound that left the roadway, collided with a retaining wall and culvert, and subsequently caught fire. Despite efforts to escape the burning vehicle, the occupant could not exit and was declared deceased on the scene. The identity of the victim remains undisclosed pending notification of next of kin.
The collision occurred in the vicinity of Saw Tooth Canyon, where a westbound sedan exited the roadway, crashed into a retaining wall, and caught fire.
Authorities stated that the vehicle was fully engulfed in flames when they arrived on scene, making the identification of the car and occupant impossible.
