Eriksen joins Wolfsburg following Man Utd exit - Soccer News
"I'm convinced we can achieve something together at Wolfsburg. The talks with the club bosses went very well. I immediately sensed that [head coach] Paul Simonis has a clear vision for the team and for me personally. The fact that there are several familiar faces in the squad from the Danish national team makes VfL a particularly attractive proposition for me."
"Never late to the party... Welcome to Wolfsburg, Christian Eriksen!#VfLWolfsburg pic.twitter.com/cjnmqqPkFB - VfL Wolfsburg EN/US (@VfLWolfsburg_EN) September 10, 2025"
Christian Eriksen has joined VfL Wolfsburg on a two-year contract after his Manchester United deal expired in June. He spent three seasons at Manchester United, making 107 appearances, scoring eight goals and providing 19 assists, and helped the club win the EFL Cup and FA Cup. Wrexham reportedly approached him during the transfer window, but his agent confirmed that move would not happen. Eriksen described Wolfsburg as his first Bundesliga club and praised head coach Paul Simonis's clear vision and the presence of several Danish national team players. Wolfsburg are unbeaten early in the season and Eriksen could debut against Cologne.
