Fifa is trialling a new VAR system with two tennis-style reviews per match, allowing managers to challenge decisions by twirling their finger in the air and giving a card to the fourth official, as explained by Fifa referees' chief Pierluigi Collina.
The system aims to provide a cheaper alternative to the current VAR system, focusing on key decisions like goals, penalties, red cards, and mistaken identity, with the possibility for major leagues to implement if the trial progresses positively.
