A fatal shooting occurred in the parking lot of Yorkdale mall on July 17, leading to the death of 28-year-old Kashif Jamal Bentley-Jean. Police responded to the scene but Bentley-Jean succumbed to his injuries despite life-saving attempts. Authorities issued Canada-wide warrants for three suspects involved in the murder. A 20-year-old man from Montreal was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Two other suspects, aged 23 and 28 from Longueuil and Montreal respectively, remain at large and are considered armed and dangerous. Police are requesting public assistance in locating them.
