Officers responded around 7:20 p.m. to reports of a stabbing in the area of Church Street and Queen Street South, police said in a news release. The victim had been walking along a trail in the area when an unknown man demanded for valuable belongings, police said."
"After the victim complied, the suspect stabbed the victim multiple times before fleeing in an unknown direction. Police said because the victim did not have a cell phone to call for help, he drove himself to a nearby paramedic division, where he was transported to a local trauma centre. The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The suspect remains outstanding and is described as a white man in his 30s, last seen wearing a green or blue jacket."
