""Do the right thing, seek council and turn yourself in," said Campbell to the suspect. "I should also say, if you are harbouring or aiding this individual in any way, remember that you can face charges as well." Shakur Clarke-Sargeant died after a shooting in a townhouse complex near Kingston Road and Galloway Road on the evening of Sept. 15. Clarke-Sargeant was an east-end rapper who went by the name Ytn Paco, confirmed Campbell."
"Police do not know if Ellis is still in the Greater Toronto Area or if he could have travelled elsewhere, said Campbell. The relationship between Clarke-Sargeant and the suspects is still under investigation, said Campbell, adding police are also not certain if the incident is tied to gang activity. He said a weapon was not recovered at the scene. Anyone with information to the incident is urged to come forward, said police."
Toronto police have issued a Canada-wide warrant for 18-year-old Douvon Ellis on first-degree murder charges in connection with a Sept. 15 shooting in Scarborough that killed 23-year-old rapper Shakur Clarke-Sargeant, known as Ytn Paco. Det.-Sgt. Phillip Campbell urged Ellis to turn himself in and warned that anyone harbouring or aiding him could face charges. Two suspects were seen fleeing the scene and a 21-year-old Toronto man was arrested and charged with first-degree murder. Police have not recovered a weapon, do not know Ellis's whereabouts, and are investigating the relationship between the victim and suspects and any possible gang links. The public is asked to provide information.
