"A woman has died after being attacked in Mississauga Friday night, said Peel police. Officers responded before 8 p.m. near Dundas Street E. and Dagmar Avenue to reports of a woman being assaulted with a weapon, said Const. Tyler Bell with Peel police. A woman in her 50s was found at the scene with significant injuries. She was transported to hospital, where she died, Bell said."
"After a brief chase and with help from a passerby, police arrested a man in his 50s near the scene. Bell said there are no other suspects at this time. He said while police aren't certain to what extent the two individuals know each other, they believe the incident is not random and there was no risk to residents. Anyone with information or witnessed the altercation is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers."
