"I can't tell you how pleased I am to welcome the newest member of our airline family, said Airport Manager Jon Stout in a news release sent prior to a planned afternoon news conference at the airport. Southwest has long been a heavily requested carrier, and I'm proud to deliver for the people of Sonoma County. I look forward to a long-lasting partnership."
"Tickets on Southwest flights will be available for purchase starting Sept. 11, according to a news release issued today. We aren't slowing down in our pursuit to provide customers with more options than ever before, said Andrew Watterson, Chief Operating Officer at Southwest Airlines. Adding Charles M. Schulz Sonoma County Airport to our route map provides more access to California's famed Wine Country for our customers and further solidifies our years long commitment to California."
Southwest Airlines will begin service at Charles M. Schulz–Sonoma County Airport starting April 7, 2026, with nonstop flights to Denver, San Diego, Las Vegas and Burbank. San Diego and Las Vegas routes will operate daily, with two San Diego roundtrips on peak days; Burbank will operate five days per week initially, and Denver service will be Saturdays only. Tickets go on sale Sept. 11. Airport Manager Jon Stout expressed strong support and anticipated a lasting partnership. Southwest emphasized expanding access to Wine Country and reaffirmed its commitment to California. The airport expects a record passenger year despite Avelo Airlines' recent departure.
