Southwest Airlines coming to Sonoma County airport
"Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport and Southwest Airlines announced today the Dallas-based commercial carrier will begin service in April with nonstop flights not only to Denver, but also to San Diego, Las Vegas and Burbank. The San Diego and Las Vegas routes are set to operate daily, including two San Diego roundtrips on peak days. Burbank will initially operate five days per week and Denver will operate on Saturdays only."

Tickets on Southwest flights will be available for purchase starting Sept. 11, according to a news release issued today. Service will begin April 7, 2026."

Airport Manager Jon Stout expressed strong support for the carrier, and Southwest emphasized increased access to Wine Country and continued commitment to California. The airport expects a record annual passenger total of 812,000 to 849,000 despite Avelo's recent departure.
