Ashley Kay, a 36-year-old woman from Wisconsin, decided to sell her family home and travel the world following her father's death in December 2015. Moved by stories of his travels shared by friends and family, Kay spent several years exploring the world. An encounter with a full-time traveler in Roatán inspired her further, leading her to sell her home in March 2023. She purchased a Toyota Tacoma for $44,000 and has since traveled through North and South America with her dog, Porter, particularly enjoying Baja, Mexico.
