A hooded man rode his bike through Bank station corridors, carrying it up escalators and stairs despite bans on bikes on most Underground lines. The incident occurred during a strike that closed most Tube lines. TfL stated fare evasion across its services fell from 3.8% in 2023/24 to 3.5% in 2024/25, while officials report fare dodging on the Tube occurs at about twice the bus rate. London TravelWatch respondents and the London Assembly urged stronger action and monitoring of unstaffed gatelines.
