The committee approved Warsh's nomination along party lines. Warren argues that Trump's policies have led to rising costs for families and that his intention is to gain control over the Fed to manipulate the economy for electoral advantage. She fears that this could have long-term negative effects on the economy. Warsh claims he would act independently if confirmed.
