"I'm feeling heartbroken, devastated for hearing about the news. I didn't know Celeste personally but it hits home,"
"Even though I didn't know her, I just couldn't even breathe, knowing that a child had to go through that,"
"My nephew went to school with her since Kindergarten and I just want to say as a... if it was my daughter, I wouldn't want her to be forgotten. I just want justice for this little girl because whatever happened to her wasn't just an accident... I don't want her to be forgotten,"
Celeste Rivas Hernandez, 15, was found dead in the trunk of an impounded Tesla registered to singer D4vd in Hollywood. She had been reported missing last year and her remains were discovered after authorities impounded the vehicle. Police searched a Hollywood Hills home where D4vd had stayed; the house is near the impound site and tow yard. Community members in Lake Elsinore held a candlelight vigil at a makeshift memorial on the street where Celeste lived, expressing heartbreak and calls for justice. The circumstances surrounding her death remain under investigation, and several of D4vd's upcoming tour dates appear canceled.
