Charlie Kirk was shot in the neck while hosting an event on Utah Valley State's campus and subsequently died. Real America's Voice confirmed the death and reported the news live. Reactions included tearful condolences from colleagues and a public message from President Donald Trump expressing admiration and sympathy to Kirk's wife Erika and family. Broad condemnation of political violence and shock came from across the political spectrum. Kirk founded Turning Point USA in 2012, was a prominent MAGA movement figure, and regularly hosted campus events and conservative conferences.
