Earth to People's furniture collection taps nature's own glue - Yanko Design
Briefly

Earth to People has introduced its environmentally conscious furniture line, Salvage and Sap, which merges aesthetics with sustainability. The workshop uses hand-harvested tree sap instead of industrial glue to bind reclaimed materials. Sourced from centuries-old cedar trees in British Columbia, each piece includes GPS data to ensure transparency. The entire process, from air-drying logs to hand-milling shapes, emphasizes low impact and traditional methods. The collection features unique pieces like a chair from a 400-year-old tree and floor lamps made from recycled metal, highlighting eco-conscious design through artisanal craftsmanship.
The collection includes aluminum furniture-like sconces and a floor lamp-made from locally recycled scrap metal. These pieces echo ancient monoliths in their minimalist geometric forms.
Designer: Earth to People sources centuries‑old cedar struck by wind in Squamish, British Columbia. Logs are air‑dried (not kiln‑dried), emphasizing handcrafted, low-impact processes.
