The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered has reignited interest in its modding community, which is much smaller than Skyrim's but still active. Bethesda has clarified that mods are unofficially supported for the remaster, and players are encouraged to troubleshoot by uninstalling mods if issues arise. Historically, Bethesda has provided tools like the Creation Kit for other games to facilitate modding. In less than a day since launch, over 100 new mods have emerged, covering various enhancements, showcasing the vigorous engagement from the community.
While Oblivion's modding community has been much smaller, it's still active - and interest has grown since Oblivion Remastered was released Tuesday.
"Mods are not officially supported for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion Remastered," Bethesda wrote on its support website.
Despite all, modders are already working on Oblivion Remastered. The game's been out for less than a day, and there are already more than 100 mods.
Skyrim and other games like Starfield and Fallout 4, Bethesda allowed players to download and tinker with the game using the official Creation Kit.
