Stardew Valley Creator Is Focused On Finishing His Next Game
Briefly

Eric Barone, the creator of Stardew Valley, is shifting his focus away from the game after its recent free update. Despite his deep attachment to the game and desire to ensure a great experience for fans, he acknowledges the need to dedicate himself entirely to developing Haunted Chocolatier, which he announced in 2021. Barone expressed that while Stardew Valley's updates are in a stable state, he intends to take a significant break from it to concentrate on his new project, which has been a long-term endeavor.
"At some point I'm going to have to completely cut off everything else... I should just go into a cabin in the woods and just say, 'Okay guys, I'll see you in two years.'"
"I'm committed to not working on Stardew Valley until I'm done with Haunted Chocolatier ... I think it's in a good place. I feel very solid about it."
