International White Wine Festival returns to Anderson Valley
"A perennial favorite, the International White Wine Festival returns to Anderson Valley Feb. 14-15, when over 40 wine producers will gather for a grand tasting and a series of special events. Among the few festivals in North America that focus exclusively on white and sparkling wines, the event highlights the appellation's historic ties to Alsatian varieties such as Riesling and Gewürztraminer, which have been grown here since the 1960s."
"A perfect Valentine's Day treat for white wine lovers, the walk-around Grand Tasting takes place noon-3 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 14, at the Mendocino County Fairgrounds in Boonville. White and sparkling wines from more than 40 producers will be available to taste, including an enlightening selection from Switzerland, Germany, Italy, Spain, Mexico and France. On Sunday, Feb. 15, wineries throughout Anderson Valley will open their doors for a variety of special tastings and events. Prices vary, with reservations encouraged."
