4 days agoHow airlines turn their planes into flying billboards
Turkish Airlines wrapped an A350 with 100,000 employee faces using roughly 300 pounds of high-grade aviation stickers to commemorate its 500th aircraft.
Take Condor, a lesser-known German airline that's been flying to SFO since 2022. If its name isn't familiar, you're likely to remember seeing one of its aircraft parked at an airport gate. Bold stripes in either red, green, beige, yellow or blue encircle the white fuselage in a striking livery that's like nothing else in the sky. The design scheme is supposed to evoke beach towels and chairs and signify vacation.
