A car crashed into a wall in Beckenham, leaving parts scattered around. The driver fled the scene but later returned to report to police.

Councillor Alexa Michael, chairman of the Development Control Committee, stated, "We were persuaded by the very special circumstances in support of this relatively modest proposal, which is also in keeping with principles established in previous planning decisions."

"The equipment is old and parts of it are unsafe. Older kids don't have anywhere to play. But with the right support, we can change that."
