Xiaomi has officially confirmed that its next OS update will be named HyperOS 3, dismissing earlier rumors that suggested it might launch as HyperOS 26. The update will be based on Android 16. The Chinese brand revealed in a Weibo post that it will unveil HyperOS 3 on August 28 at an event in China. In another post, Xiaomi's Lu Weibing noted that the upcoming update will improve UI smoothness and responsiveness.
